Arranging a Visit

There is a short film on the Homepage which shows parents and children what a day at West Hoathly is like.

If you are considering requesting a place for your child at our school we would encourage you to arrange to visit the school.  If you would like to do so please contact the school to make an appointment. We would be delighted to show you around.

Admission Arrangements

Our admission criteria and arrangements are managed by West Sussex County Council.  Please visit their School Places web page by clicking on this link for full details.

Starting School

Children Approaching School Age

Children can begin primary school, as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (often called Reception Class) in the September following their fourth birthday.  Children cab start on a full-time or part-time (mornings only) basis.  Parents are encouraged to discuss this with us before your child starts school.

Applications for school places can now be completed online.  For full details of how to apply please contact the West Sussex County Council Admissions department by telephoning 03330 142903 or click on this link to read more and apply online.

Moving School

Children of School Age Transferring from Another School

If you would like to request a place for your child please contact the West Sussex County Council School Admissions department by telephoning 03330 142903 or click on this link to visit the relevant web page.  All in-year admissions are managed by the county admissions team.  They liaise with schools to ensure places are available.

If a place is available, then the county admissions time will confirm the offer of a place.  The school will ask you to provide a range of documentation for our records and arrange a suitable start date.
